Yvette Wu is the CEO and Co-founder of Yield Exchange, an innovative investment marketplace transforming how organizations access and optimize fixed-income investments. With over 15 years of leadership experience in banking, consulting, and fintech, Yvette is renowned for her ability to navigate complex financial systems, forge strategic partnerships, and deliver market-driven solutions that create tangible value for businesses.

Yvette’s career is defined by her passion for breaking barriers and driving systemic change. She has worked with diverse organizations, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to fast-growing startups, and is leading the creation of Canada’s first tri-party repo marketplace in partnership with the Toronto Stock Exchange. Her contributions to financial inclusion include launching Vancity's award-winning “Fair and Fast Loan” program, which combats payday lending cycles and promotes equitable financial solutions. She also serves as an advisory group member for the Activate Financial Inclusion and Access (AFIA) program, which equips funders with tools and frameworks to support women entrepreneurs while embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion into funding practices.

As a board member of The Forum, Yvette leverages her expertise in entrepreneurship and finance to champion women entrepreneurs. She frequently speaks and facilitates workshops, helping founders overcome growth challenges and scale their businesses through organizations such as The Forum, the McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship, and Women in Communications and Technology, among others.

Yvette’s leadership has been widely recognized. She is the recipient of the PEAK Women in Finance – Rising Star Award, Business in Vancouver’s 40 Under 40, and the New Ventures BC Women-Led Venture Award. She also won the AWS SAAS North Pitch Competition and The Firehood Angel Pitch Competition, underscoring her ability to innovate and communicate a bold vision for the future of financial services.
