P4P 2018: Dionne Laslo-Baker

Pitch for the Purse has given me a lot of confidence when it comes to pitching. I was never really nervous about public speaking (because I’ve done a lot of it during my PhD studies), but it helped me narrow my focus on what’s important to know and include in a pitch. Pitch for the Purse taught me the concept of knowing what you don’t know. It’s important to have the expertise and to understand your numbers and financials, so that you know your business frontwards, backwards, and sideways.
