The WEKH/The Forum: Sharing Platform is free, easy to use, and available in English and French. It allows members of the women entrepreneurship ecosystem to draw from their knowledge and reach of the community and share their own learnings to access business opportunities and collaboratively tackle challenges.

Who is the WEKH/The Forum: Sharing Platform for?

The WEKH/FWE: Sharing Platform is designed for all self-identified women including entrepreneurs, community champions, and business leaders. On the platform, you'll find a network of other women entreprenurs, professionals, and support organizations.

I can't find the Sharing Platfrom on the App Store. How do I use it?

The WEKH/The Forum: Sharing Platform is not an application but is an online platform that can be accessed through any web browser. It is simple to use too! First visit sharing.wekh.ca on your smartphone or computer and sign-up using your email address.

For easy access, bookmark the webpage, create a shortcut on your desktop, or add it to your home screen on your phone!

Do I have to pay to use the platform?

No. The WEKH/The Forum: Sharing Platform is free to use for all women entrepreneurs across Canada and any women representing organizations that support them.

What is an "ask"?

Members of the WEKH/The Forum: Sharing Platform can post an ask for whatever they need to support their business right now. Whether that "ask" is information on capital, warm introductions to new contacts, or expert advice on a certain topic area - no ask is too big or too small.

Examples of specific “Asks” might include:

I am applying for a loan through BDC and would like to connect with someone who has done it before.

I am looking to sell my product in Winnepeg but don't have any contacts there. Is there someone who knows that market that would be willing to discuss it with me?

I recently launched my new Instagram page and need help spreading the word.

I am launching a new product but don't know if the copy on my packaging is clear. Can someone spend 15 minutes reviewing it for me

What is a "give"?

Members of The WEKH/The Forum: Sharing Platform can offer support to the fellow members of the platform in many ways including sharing expertise, services, network, or buying power.

Examples of “Gives” include:

I have helped several businesses build online stores to help keep them afloat through the COVID-19 crisis. I can help others do the same!

Our organization offers free counseling to immigrant entrepreneurs building their businesses in Canada. Give us a call.

My mother’s birthday is coming up and I would like to buy a unique gift and support women entrepreneurs at the same time. What do you sell?

Is the platform moderated?

Yes. A member of the Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub staff will moderate the platform to ensure all discussion is respectful and inclusive. Any posts that are deemed to violate WEKH's Terms of Use will be removed.
